If the Sierra de Andujar is conditioned by the river Jandula, the river Yeguas is the distinctive geological element of the Cardena park. Originated from countless small streams in the Valle de Alcudia, the river Yeguas is one of the main treasures of Spain, and in its deeps and recondite valleys lies its greatest secret: the place where Lynxes are born.
Situated in the very gorgeous shire of Los Pedroches and just one hour and fifteen minutes from Almagro, this large Holm Oak dehesa valley dotted with thousands of granitic rocks (Pedroches means “great stones”) remain inaccessible without special permits, so you will need to contact to the unique guides that are allowed to enter into the park if want to discover this magical place.
